Commission Junction Will Change The Payment Threshold On The 28th Of August

I just spent two days without checking one of my email address and today I just read , that Commission Junction ( CJ) will change their Payment Threshold this month. If you live in Canada like myself, it used to be a minimum of $ 35 in order to receive your check but starting in August the 28th, if you want to receive your CJ check, you better have a minimum of $ 100 into your account. I hope that your guys, will not have any issues with this change.

Dear XXXXX,

In an effort to streamline our publisher payment process and better support environmentally conscious commerce, Commission Junction is revising its minimum payout amounts, effective August 28, 2008.

What is Changing?

  1. We are revising the minimum amount needed in your Commission Junction Publisher account to receive earned commission checks each month.
  2. The changes are as follows:

Functional Currency

New Minimum for Direct Deposit

New Minimum for Paper Check

USD

50

100

SEK

300

600

GBP

25

50

CAD

100

EUR

When Is It Changing?

  1. The change will be effective August 28, 2008, and will affect the checks you would receive as part of September’s payout.

Why Is Commission Junction Making This Change?

  1. To streamline our publisher payment process.
  2. To offer publishers an incentive to switch to direct deposit because paper checks are less efficient, more costly and slower than the electronic option.
  3. To drastically cut down on paper consumption and better support environmentally conscious commerce.
  4. To better align our process with the industry because our minimum commission threshold to receive payment is, almost without exception, far below the current standard.

How Will It Impact You?

  1. Simply stated, beginning in September you will be paid once your earned commissions meet or exceed the amount in the chart above (based on functional currency and payout option).
  2. If you wish to change payment methods, log in to your Account Manager, click the Account tab>Administrative Settings tab>Payment Information>Edit button. Changes should be made no later than August 28, 2008 to be in effect before the payments are processed in September.
  3. We hope you will be able to utilize the direct deposit method of payment if you are not yet using it – it will ultimately benefit you and the environment.

Sincerely,

Commission Junction

I’ve had so much trouble getting CJ to work with my direct deposit and I’m in the US and with Bank of America so I’ve been getting my payments by check since I switched banks from Wachovia last year.

I’m not sure this news is going to be well received by most affiliates right after CJ lost eBay affiliate program which was the top earner for a lot of publishers.

In my case, it’s just going to inspire me to pump the GoDaddy affiliate program in CJ to make sure I still get paid every month.

I had trouble setting up my DD with CJ too. They said the informations that I gave them were incorrect but when I used the same info with ClickBank, everything worked out perfectly and I am still getting my money from them through DD.

Good luck with GoDaddy affiliate program. Wish you all the best.

Bad credit, I am happy for you. I have been satisfied with CJ too but CB is still number one in my list.
